Waunakee, WI — Betsy
Flanagan has been named a Maestro by Kindermusik
International ®,
the world's leading publisher of music and movement programs.
Flanagan is an early childhood specialist at Musical Pathways, teaching Kindermusik classes in Waunakee at the
First Presbyterian Church Classrooms. The Maestro Producer
award recognizes educators for excellence in building a truly
expansive program and proving masterful in reaching a large number
of families with the Kindermusik experience.
"The Kindermusik Maestro has a mission: helping children
become better learners and helping parents understand how to
help them reach their highest potential," said Michael
Dougherty, CEO at Kindermusik International.
Betsy Flanagan represents the top 5 percent of over 5,000
licensed educators in the world who use Kindermusik's music
and movement curricula. Betsy began providing Kindermusik at
Musical Pathway's studio in January of 2003. Today
Betsy teaches the learning program to over 120 families, with
those numbers increasing every semester.
In the last year, Betsy's program has grown due to her
strong quality of programming, her warm and energetic commitment
to children and her ensuing loyal parent referral. "With
decades of teaching both children and adults, I knew this research-based
program was one that would truly make a difference both in the
children's growth and developmental successes and also
in strengthening the bond among the families participating. We
can't change the whole world, but we can make a difference
in children from ages newborn to seven by utilizing the fun,
magical, nurturing and bonding tools that Kindermusik so enjoyably
provides," said
Flanagan.
The Maestro Program recognizes licensed Kindermusik educators
who master one of three levels in early childhood development:
program growth, outstanding community service and teaching excellence.
